Well .. Stuff to do with the Nissan 350Z for gosh sakes!
Nissan's 350Z has brought back design clues from first-generation Z's with the long nose, short deck, triangular cabin forming up with contrasting curves and angular geometrical forms. Powered by a 287-horsepower V-6 , the 350Z fits in nicely with even the most expensive sports cars.
Frankmusic (21:42 05 Jun 2007) : Ed,
You certainly did an excellent job tweaking your Z - side skirts and all!
Woooo-Hoooo!
:-)
Tweaking
eTraxx (14:28 06 Jun 2007) : Thanks Frank. It came out pretty well I think. I would like to repaint everything again when I get a chance.
another possible tweak
Frankmusic (21:53 07 Jun 2007) : Ed, Were you planning to incorporate a pair of round faced fog lights into your personalized front grille? I think that could only further enhance what is 'your' unmistakably one of a kind Z look.
350Z
SAAS-MOD User (10:28 02 Jul 2007) : Hey Ed why don't you put some 20'' rims along with hydralics.
20" rims
eTraxx (16:46 05 Jul 2007) : Wheels this size may be fine for crusing around the block but useless for me without the horsepower to spin them
rims
Frank (22:36 19 Aug 2007) : Nahhhhh! 20'' rims start making the look ridiculous. 18"s and 19"s are the tasteful way to go.
Rims .. again ...
eTraxx (11:06 23 Aug 2007) : I agree. Mostly. 20" rims on a Z just ... don't look right to me. I suppose it's a personal thing but a tire that will fit to a large wheel has to have a smaller and smaller ratio in order to fit within the wheel well and for no other reason, to make the speedo happy. The problem that I have with it is you start ending up with something that is all wheel and no tire .. a wagon wheel effect (to me anyhoo). There is the problem with tires then not having enough sidewall to protect the wheel from normal day to day driving. That may not be a problem to someone who just cruises town .. but is a problem for a daily driver. A 20" wheel with a tire having a sidewall (50 series for example) would be quite a bit larger then stock (on a Z) .. quite a bit heavier .. and would require more HP to spin the sucker. All in all I think would be reasonable only if the car was designed for that to start with.
Tweaking
eTraxx (16:53 31 Mar 2008) : Man. Thought I would post up. I managed to 'Tweak' my bumper on a curve. Darn it. Luckily .. I had the old bumper. *Sigh*
