The Lugoff & Camden RR is a gateway to (1) The L&CRR, my model railway layout. There, the plan is to document the layout’s construction and (2) Model Railroading in general. There is lots of overlap of course and that’s fine.
There are two principals that guide this blog – Imagineering and Engineering. Imagineering: That means just what it says.
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” -– Albert Einstein
My Imagineering then, is a pre-view (thanks Albert) of possibilities on the layout. The Engineering part is where I will take those imagined possibilities and turn them into something you can touch.

Organization: As I said, there is lots of overlap. The idea is to try and arrange the navigation on this blog so that a visitor is able to navigate easily to whatever he/she wishes. Currently, I have a section called Structures. This covers everything from buildings such as Sand Drying Facilities to Oil Tanks to Bumping Posts to Bridges. Take Bridges as an example – it has a sub-page for Through Plate Girder Bridges. So the question is .. where do you put Structures then? All alone and by itself or under Scenery?

- Home : This is where you are now – the ‘splash’ page
- Das Blogging : This is the ‘normal’ WordPress Blog Post
- Projects : ‘Stuf’ I’m either working on or planning to.
- L&CRR : This is my layout – The Lugoff & Camden Railroad
- Scenery : A major section
- Narrow Gauge : My research into On30/On18. Currently (meaning that it’s a ‘place holder name’) is it’s the “Kershaw & Northern RR”
- Reference : Charts for Nominal Pipe Sizes, HO Scale Lumber Dimensions, Corrugated Sheet Dimensions, American Wire Gauge and U.S.S. Wire Gauge charts.
- Media : Links to books, videos etc. .. currently sub-pages are Civil Engineering, Railroad Engineering, Model Railroading and Software
- DIY : Right now just a blog on building a Spray Booth.

One of the most important thing to make real dreaming about 1st position of google is diversity of backlink sources, and all backlinks of course have to be dofollow.
I have come to your site before. Classic female photography. Wanted to tell you, you have a nice site
Hey can I use some of the insight here in this entry if I reference you with a link back to your site?
I know, I know .. but I like clicking the link
I`ve read few of articles here and could say it was really interesting, thanks for sharing this.
This is really a greatsite. I have a bunch myself. I really like your design. I know this is off topic but,did you make this layout yourself,or buy from somewhere? London,UK

Visiting from the plastic injection group!
Thanks,
Dave D
Dave, thanks for the visit. Looking forward to learning a bit about plastic injection methodologies (now .. THAT’s a nice word!)
Ed,
Nice site! I know how much time & effort goes into maintaining a couple of sites but this one is huge! Nice models, info, links, etc.
And, thank you for your service to our Country!
Len,
Loblolly Logger
Len. I appreciate that. The website is really just a over-large notebook that got out of hand! You’re welcome re: the service thing. Hey .. it makes retirement that much better!
If you have any suggestion though, I would really like to hear them .. such as that I KNOW the site is disorganized. I MEAN to organize it better .. but I keep sliding off into tangents .. get interested in something like Critters and On18 and forget I was there to work on that ‘organize’ thing ..
